behind the lens
Hi, my name is Alina and I am the owner of Lina Shea Photography. I am originally from Virgie, Kentucky, a very small town in eastern Kentucky. I still live in eastern Kentucky, only half an hour away from where I grew up. Shortly after high school, I attended Morehead State University. While attending MSU, I received my degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.
Now some of you may wonder why you're on a photography website made by a teacher....Well, I had more than one dream. As a child, I always had a love for being behind (and in front of) a camera, pretending to be a teacher, and a model (that dream never lived out its full potential). After graduating from college, I pursued this dream of photography. I have been a photographer for close to 7 years and each year I have met some of the most amazing people who I now call friends.
Aside from being able to live out this dream of photography, I am a full time Special Education teacher at Elkhorn City Elementary. This is truly another DREAM job that I am able to live out daily. To say that God has blessed me is a complete understatement. My students and my co-workers make my life even better just by being in it. Being able to teach and love on children every day while being with your best friends.....I definitely wouldn't call that 'work.'
I am a wife to the most incredible man on this earth. We have been married for 8 amazing years and we have two of the sweetest children. Hudson and Everleigh are two of our greatest blessings.
With all of that being said, I give every single bit of the credit to God. He has blessed me and my family beyond measures and without Him in our lives we are nothing. I pray that I am able to serve Him in anyway that I can, and that I can be a light to all who know me.
God Bless!
